I'm Favad Qaisar, Founder and CEO of Communication Square, a US-based Microsoft Solutions Partner. For more than ten years I have helped governments and growing companies move to Microsoft 365 and Azure, keep their data safe, and follow data-protection laws like GDPR in Europe, US public-sector rules, and now KVKK in Türkiye.
I started Communication Square in 2015 and have led it ever since as CEO and CTO. We are a Microsoft Solutions Partner in the United States. Our job is simple to say and hard to do well: help an organization move its email, files, and apps to the Microsoft Cloud without losing data, breaking the budget, or breaking the law.
Over the years I have done this work for government agencies and mid-size companies. That means I care about two things at once: the technology has to work, and it has to follow the rules. I plan the move to Microsoft 365 and Azure, I write the small programs (in Python) that move and check the data, and I set up the access controls that decide who can see what. Microsoft has even featured one of my solutions for front-line workers.
The part I enjoy most is making hard rules easy to follow. Whether it is GDPR in Europe, the strict rules for US public agencies, or KVKK in Türkiye, the goal is the same: build the system so that following the law is the default, not extra work. I am now putting that experience into KVKK Shield, a project built for the Turkish market — and I would love to grow it from inside the local tech community.
A small browser tool that stops staff from sending Turkish personal data (ID numbers, phone numbers, e-mails) to AI apps like ChatGPT by accident. It hides that data right on the user's computer, before anything is sent. Nothing is stored on any server. It is my newest project, built for the Turkish market.
See the projectI moved a company's full accounting records from an old tool (Wave) into a new system (Odoo) using my own Python scripts. The hard part was making sure every number matched to the cent and nothing was lost or doubled. The scripts check the books automatically and prove they balance.
See the projectMany teams keep the same information in three places — Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Notion — and it never matches. I built a Python tool that keeps them in sync, decides who is allowed to see what, keeps each file in its proper place, and records every change so it can be checked later.
See the projectI designed the cloud setup for a grant-tracking app for a large US public transport agency. The main challenge was keeping each department's data separate and safe, controlling who could open what, and meeting strict government rules for tracking public money.
